1. JDS Creative Academy: Production Assistant Intern
Hours: M-F 20 hrs/week. Must be 18
Position Description: The Production Assistant Intern works in all aspects of production for JDS Creative Academy, from green-screen studio work to fieldwork to live production and post-production. The videos this position works on are for JDSCA’s television shows, studio clients, and internal and external marketing and communication. This position is responsible for editing assisting in the filming of JDSCA’s broadcast magazine-style news and information show Spirit of Innovation, as well as editing, filming, and photography as needed for the studios’ promotional videos, clients’ videos, social media videos, and other internal productions. This position also requires working with and instructing JDSCA job-training program participants as they learn video production and post-production, and assisting the participants as they create their video projects from start to finish. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite /Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop is a must. 2. Michelle's Place: Donor Development and Fundraising Assistant
Hours: M-F 25/hrs per week- Must be 17
Position Description: This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit development and is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the community. The intern will assist with donor database management, help prepare thank-you letters and stewardship materials, support the planning and execution of fundraising events, and conduct research on potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities. Additional responsibilities include organizing in-kind donations, assisting with donor-related communications, and performing general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. They should be reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or CRM systems is helpful, though training will be provided. Most importantly, the candidate must align with our core values by creating a space of safety, hope, and comfort, serving others with a compassionate heart, and rising to the occasion when needed. 3. Economic Development Coalition (EDC): Marketing, Social Media, and Website Development
Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible schedule, hybrid options Paid $16.50/hr Must be 17
Position Description: This position will provide experience in social media content creation, google ads and analyticals, website design, and creating marketing collateral. The ideal candidate will have experience with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Canva, website design, and an understanding of SEO. But, the most important qualification is curiosity and problem solving. Being self motivated, having the ability to work independently, great attention to detail, and a passion for serving your community are the most important skills. 4. Paulson Manufacturing: Warehouse Associate
Hours: M-F 7:00am- 3:30pm-Paid $16.50/hr. Must be 18
Position Description: Assist in shipping activities for organization, receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties. Prepare freight for shipping on pallets. Prepare shipping labels for product shipments (UPS, FED-EX, Etc.) Prepare paperwork for invoices received from document manager. Ensures invoices against products received are in the correct location. Prepares paperwork (BOL’s, Waybills, Etc.) for domestic and international freight. Communicate with other departments to ensure customer shipment satisfaction. Obtain freight quotes from carriers and ensure best prices. Communicates with freight carriers to help settle damaged freight claims Reads customer order, sample order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, sample orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to sales and marketing. Marks materials with identifying information. Reads and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards. Uses computer to enter records. Maintains inventory records. Issues and maintains basic data of the data system. The ideal candidate will be organized; strong work ethic; able to take direction; able to work independently and as part of a team; effective written and verbal communication; willingness to work with other depts.
